In line with its primary responsibility, which is to facilitate the production of components and automobiles of international standards by the Nigerian automotive industry, Council participates in auto exhibitions, motor shows, trade fairs and other public functions within and outside Nigeria. This includes the major trade and auto fairs in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Kaduna and Port Harcourt respectively. This provides an avenue to enlighten members of the public on the policies, programmes and activities of the Council. The activities in these events include, but are not limited to the following;
- Displaying and promoting made in Nigeria automobiles as well as components.
- Creating awareness on Council’s activities and achievements through sharing of information kits, roll up banners, signage and direct interaction with guests.
- Attending to the enquiries of potential investors and collaborators by documenting their contact information.
- Creating awareness on the major developments in the Nigeria Automotive Industry.
- Explaining in details, the incentives provided in the New Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP) to potential investors.
- Encourage automobile users to patronize Made-in-Nigeria vehicles and parts as a way to boost consumption and invariably production.
- Developing a feedback mechanism on public perception of the Council’s programmes and projects with a view to addressing them accordingly.
